Ted’s Woodworking Scam Alert and How to Get Your Money Back

I'm very much into woodworking as I like to build stuff myself. However, due to work and time constraints, I couldn’t afford to do much of my own research.

That’s the reason I always look for books/guides that are easy to follow and offer the complete plan when I have a project in mind. So when I heard about Ted’s Woodworking with 16,000 plans, I was excited.

I bought the package on the fly without really thinking much. It sounded awesome, and for the price it seemed to be a steal.

After buying the book, I set out to go through the whole thing. Well, it indeed had thousands of plans within the package with detailed videos to boost. But it was nowhere near 16,000 plans as advertised. I watched a couple of videos and they weren’t even produced properly.

There was something amiss here. I remembered seeing some of the plans elsewhere.

I told myself “He couldn’t sell other people’s work, could he?”

That was when I decided to dig deeper to find out exactly what was going on.

Ted's Woodworking Review - Find out The Real Truth

The truth was shocking.

I came across this review where the blog's owner (a woodworker himself) revealed that all the plans put together in Ted's package were all already publicly available. All the videos were also taken from public sources like Youtube.com or Vimeo.com.

Further research revealed that most of his so-called "original plans" were stolen from: http://www.furnitureplans.com & http://www.beesource.com

Stealing other people's work is indeed terrible. The worse thing is that it seems his product was still incredibly popular and so many people promote his site. How did he manage to slip through all cracks and fool so many people?

Even the address, contact number, email address were all bogus.

The site received 31 complaints, failed to respond to those complaints, and as a result received an "F" (worst grade according to BBB Review)

I felt like a fool, falling for such hype and a mashed up product. Well, at least I got my money back.

If you already bought this crummy product, you can get your money back 100%. Don't even bother to contact Ted or his support because they will not entertain your refund request.

I went to the source, the payment gateway that handles Ted's transaction, Clickbank.

Click on More Options and write your refund request

In most cases, Clickbank will refund your money. Note that you have to request the refund within 60 days of purchase.

Ted's Woodworking - The Verdict

Knowing that Ted's Woodworking is a total scam, I immediately gave up the idea of trying any of his "too good to be true" plans. It's up to you though. Do you want to use a mashed up copyrighted woodworking package?

The lesson learned here is, do your due diligence when purchasing a product. Read up on people's reviews and learn about the business as much as you can. Otherwise, you could possibly fall for such a scam, just like I did.
